The oversized blue egg is a revenant. More precisely: a revenant of a historical bird's egg collection in the Rüschhaus, where the famous poet Annette von Droste-Hülshoff lived from 1826 to 1848. She herself collected fossils, her nephew Ferdinand later collected birds' eggs.

The artist displays one of these eggs and lets it take over the space. It makes us look up to it, claiming just as much significance as the poet Droste. The egg keeps reappearing in different places, it haunts the rooms of the Rüschhaus and Hülshoff Castle. And it gently and luminously suggests the question of whether we humans on this planet are not always making ourselves bigger than we are.
